Rear Protection System for Enclosed Trailers

This panel is designed to protect workers in the rear of a trailer, such as manufacturers or employees rearranging freight.

OSHA mandates fall protection for any walking-working surface above 48 inches, which includes the back of an enclosed, dock-high truck or trailer when it is not backed up to a dock or ramp. While these trailers are typically backed up to a loading dock, workers can still face fall hazards when assembling the trailer or when a driver is using an on-truck pallet jack to move skids from the front to the rear. These areas are considered exposed walking-working surfaces and, as such, require fall protection.

Our Rear Protection System meets OSHA’s fall protection standard. It is designed for use when employees are working in the back of dry van trailers, refrigerated trailers, or box trucks.
