The Business Case
Fall accidents are costly both to workers and their employers. Providing a flatbed truck fail protection system contributes to cost savings by:
- Preventing workers' compensation claims for medical and indemnity (weekly payments) for an injured worker
- Protecting against 3rd party liability lawsuits
- Avoiding costly citations and fines
- Improving workers' efficiency and productivity
We provide the most cost-effective system on the market.
Rolling Panel For Rear Protection On Enclosed Trailers
This panel is designed to protect workers in the rear of a trailer, such as manufacturers or employees rearranging freight.
OSHA mandates fall protection for any walking-working surface above 48 inches, which includes the back of an enclosed, dock-high truck or trailer when it is not backed up to a dock or ramp. While these trailers are typically backed up to a loading dock, workers can still face fall hazards when assembling the trailer or when a driver is using an on-truck pallet jack to move skids from the front to the rear. These areas are considered exposed walking-working surfaces and, as such, require fall protection.
Our rolling panel meets OSHA’s fall protection standard. It is designed for use when employees are working in the back of dry van trailers, refrigerated trailers, or box trucks.
Rolling Safety Panel For Lift-Gate Trucks
This rolling safety panel is designed to protect workers who load and unload trucks or trailers using a lift gate.
When the lift gate raises the worker above 48 inches, fall protection is required. Business owners are responsible for ensuring that these vendors comply with OSHA guidelines, as non-compliance can result in fines and lawsuits.
The panel offers protection by covering the sides at a lower point, with end protection engaging as the worker ascends. The rear bar is positioned about 6.5 feet from the ground, allowing the worker to walk beneath it when accessing the area at ground level.
This mobile panel is also used by outside vendors, such as uniform companies, shredding companies, and office supply companies, who commonly use straight trucks with lift gates for pickups and deliveries.
